Value sets

Value sets can be used to store selection tables. These tables can be used to store company knowledge.

For example a variable speed conveyor. This conveyor uses a frequency inverter. The selection for the type of frequency inverter is made based on information. The criteria for the selection might be motor power (kW) and the manufacturer for the frequency inverter used in the project. So based on a project selection and a project value, a selection is made in the table. The table might look like the example below:

At project level selections are made for the manufacturer of frequency inverters, fuses, relays, etc.

These selection groups are called manufacturer groups and can be created by the user. Based on the project selection for manufacturer groups and the key value data is collected from the value set and used in the project. Based on the above project selections and a motor power of 0.37 kW the data used in the project would be:

Value sets can be used for all module types and can be used on several levels.

When a attribute in a module is changed, and it is a value set key, value set values will be set.

A value can only be set for attributes that exists in side the module.

It is also possible to select a row from the value set, without manual changing al key attributes to the correct value,

When clicking on the three dots a pop-up is shown.

In this pop-up it is possible to select a row from the value set, when clicking 'OK' the values will be set.

NOTE: For a Value set to work it is necessary that at least all key attributes exists in the module.

When one or more key attributes doe not exists in the module, and the pop-up is shown, the following message will shown:

Notes:

1. Key value attributes have a blue color in Typical Manager

2. Key values can be Take Over attribute E.G. Take Over panel: Name.

When changing a panel name all attributes in the panel (in Functions, I/O or Electrical module linked to the panel) which are Take Over Panel Attributes, a value set 'trigger' is performed. this is done for all different Take Over attributes.
