Example logical template type

With logical template types a distinction can be made between different types of software files. For an example, a user could have a logical template type for datablocks (DB) and another logical template type for structured text software. At least one template type is needed for generating PLC software. Examples of template types are:

- Datablock.

- Structured text.

- PLC Code.

Logical template types can be linked to different kind of objects:

1. To logical templates in logical location formats.

2. To logical typicals in logical modules.

3. To logical templates which are placed at a logical location in project.

In 'Project >> Logical location' data can be generated per template type. The use of template types simplifies the management of the logical generation. You can export the list of logical template types to Excel by clicking Export excel.
